This is somewhat like a FAQ, common errors. Thought I'd post this before multiple posts about the same problem are posted. If you see any mistakes or any other reasons for these errors, or even adding an error, feel free to inform/correct me.

______________

Cannot init d3d OR grf file has problem
To fix, be sure to run the Setup program on your desktop.

If you dont have that, please run the setup in your "C:\Program Files\Asuna Ragnarok"(default install location) and make sure the top 2 video options are filled in.

If they are not available, please make sure your system is up to specs with the system requirements on our download page.

If you are very sure you meet the requirements, please update your video card drivers, and make sure you have the latest DirectX.

If that fails:
1) Open up netmeeting. (C:\Program Files\NetMeeting\conf.exe)
2) In the 'Tools' bar, go to 'Remote Desktop Sharing' and start the wizard; follow it until it gets to finished.
3) Go back to 'Tools' > 'Remote Desktop Sharing' and uncheck it, so it's disabled.
4) Run Setup.exe for Ragnarok and your video card drivers will be there.

The reason for this is that netmeeting 'reserves' the directdraw function once desktop sharing is enabled. Disabling it will give it back to whoever needs it. I found the solution by realizing that it said 'disabled' in the DirectX Diagnostics [dxdiag], and then googling it.

reinstalling the software is NOT needed, unless you are having problems simply installing the software.

______________

Cannot find the adress of AIL_quick_load_and_play()
If you get this error, it means you haven't installed your Server patch in the same directory as your kRO and Sakray clients.

______________

"_AIL_set_sample_volume@8 could not be located in the dynamic link library mss32.dll"

Try reinstalling Sakray, and if that doesn't work, download mss32.dll from here

______________

binkw32.dll not found

binkw32.dll is component for the BINK video codec and is used to play compressed movies within application such as games.

(Bink Video Player DLL)
This can happen when your clients are corrupted/modified. You can download binkw32.dll here

Make sure it's in the same directory as your RO files.

______________

Audio system init failed
This message means that you need to update your sound drivers, possibly also your direct X drivers. Corruption in your clients may also be possible.
It's similar to "Cannot init d3d OR grf file" just sound drivers instead of graphics.

Run the setup that our installer puts on your desktop, and disable sound. Then run the game. It just means that your system doesn't have a usable sound card. Dont worry, you can get a technician to upgrade your computer later, or, if you're impatient, you can try to download one on the internet.

If you have any questions, or if you are experiencing a problem with your audio and this isn't correcting your problem, please post here or PM me.
