As for the Alchemist NPC, can you be more specific as to which "thing" it is? The NPCs in the market place sell many "things", darlin.

And, to my knowledge, the Kindler Dagger is a quest. I can't remember which town it's in off the top of my head, but it's inside a building - and is the same place you get the Jujube Dagger and Fisherman's Dagger. Not all the weapons and items will be buyable in the market place - that'd make it too easy.. And what's a game without a little challenge =P

What's wrong with being a little different? Items are usually subject to change on different servers - especially high and super high rates where low stat equips make little difference for player game-play. Rice may have changed a few of the items to make them more fun for the players. Also know that a few of the custom items don't have the right description, but they have the correct stat bonuses - for example, the Black Back Ribbon. it gives the description for Wise Man's Beard, but gives the stats for the Black back Ribbon [Katt will be fixing those when she gets a chance].
